Teacher shot dead in Isabela City, motorbike taken by killer PDF Print E-mail

A teacher of the Claret College of Isabela was shot dead by motorcycle thief in another violent incident in Isabela City yesterday morning.

A police report identified the fatality as Jayveen Ilagan y Monte.

Ilagan was was washing his red Suzuki Raider motorcycle around 7 a.m. outside their house at Mega Subdivision, Jessica Hills, Barangay Sunrise, when a gunman appeared from behind and shot him.

The killer grabbed the Raider motorcycle and fled towards unknown direction, according to the police.

Ilagan suffered a gunshot wound on the head and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Isabela City.

Investigators recovered 1 empty shell of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Police are looking deeper into the case to determine if the killer was not just after the motorcycle, but with another motive. — Dan Toribio Jr.
