PDEA, police raid nets 6 pushers, users in Isabela PDF Print E-mail

Through the efforts of Isabela City ABC president Councilor Reynald Bucoy, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police arrested at dawn yesterday six notorious drug pushers and users at Barangay Port Area, Isabela City.

Bucoy identified the three drug pushers as Jadjirin Hamid Jo, Jamar Daud Jo and Kamodol Tambuyong Jaafar, all residents of Brangay Port Area, Isabela City.

The three drug users have no identities as of press time.

The raiding team who were armed with a search warrant issued by Basilan RTC Judge Leo Princepe swooped down around 4 a.m. on three houses owned by the suspects in the said barangay..

In the first house, the team confiscated four big packs of shabu from Hamid Jo and Daud Jo. At the second house, the team seized five sachets of shabu from Jaafar, while three big packs of the illegal drug were confiscated at the house of Kismar Boso, who eluded arrest by jumping out of the house and ran to unknown direction.

Bucoy commended the police under Supt. Albert Larubis and the PDEA led by deputy director Levi Ortiz for the drug operation leading to the arrest of the six pushers and users.

The six suspects have been detained at the police detention cell pending the filing of charges against the suspects in court.

The councilor said the city government under Mayor Cherry Santos Akbar is bent on curbing the proliferation of illegal drug  in the city. — NS
