The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that Saudi Arabia is in need of 1,663 medical professionals and preferably Filipinos.

POEA Regional Officer-in-Charge Marietta Bellotindos said that those who will be hired will work in hospitals and clinics in Saudi Arabia.

Bellotindos said the Saudi Arabian government and employers prefer to hire medical professionals from the Philippines since Filipinos are hardworking people.

Bellotindos said that among the medical professionals in needed in Saudi Arabia are as follows: Nurse (female), 1,039; respiratory therapist (male and female), 500; X-ray specialist (female), 100; laboratory technician (female), 11; pharmacist (female), eight; and radiologic technician (female), five.

She said those interested to apply must register first at, submit resume, and must fill up the Saudi Recruitment Office Form.

She said the deadline for the submission of the requirements is on or before June 11. The applicants will be evaluated and will be scheduled for interview.

She stressed that no placement fee will be collected from the applicants and that the hiring will be government-to-government.
