The Knights of Columbus Putik Chapter conducted a three-day bowling competition dubbed as the 1st St. Anthony of Padua Triple Men and Ladies Open Invitational Bowling Tournament last  May 23-25 at Tebi and Sean Recreational Center at Gov. Camins Avenue, this city.

At least 46 teams registered on the opening day, of which 31 teams for the Men’s Division and 15 for the Ladies Division and more teams were expected to register for the event.

The three-day bowling event was a fund raising activity for the improvement of the Putik Church and the Feeding Program for the street children, a project of the Knights of Columbus Putik Chapter.

During the opening program, DD Fred Francisco welcomed the participants and expected for their spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship for the duration of the tournament. Referees’ decision was final.

Jaime Steven spearheaded the oath of sportsmanship.

Each team got 8 games apiece and the top 4 over all qualified for the finals, both Men and Ladies Divisions Sunday.

For the Men’s Division, Team Centennial bagged the champion, followed by 1st runner up Team Putik A, 2nd runner up Team OTRAVEZ LAW and 3rd runner up Team H.T. ISAUBA.

For the Ladies Division, Team RN won the Championship title, followed by Team OTRAVEZ LMC, Team LOS TRIO and Team NUAY OTRO, respectively.

The winners received P10,000 cash and a trophy, 2nd was P8,000.00 plus a trophy and the third placer received P5,000.00 plus a trophy for the Men’s Division. Cash prizes for the Ladies’ Division were P5,000.00, P3,000.00 and P2,000.00 plus trophies.

For Individual awards, Dodong of Team RJDD Spikers got the Highest Pinning for Men’s Division and Carol Del Soccoro of team DOYS-LCA for the Ladies’ Division. Highest Single Award for Men Division went to Junnie Scanio from Team Centennial and Mitch Saile for team NUAY OTRO for the Ladies’ Division.

Events coordinators were Jeffrey Filoteo, Jorge Adiong and Boy Magsinoc .
