Police ready for ‘Balik Eskwela’ PDF Print E-mail

Personnel of the different police stations under the Police Regional Office-9 are in place for the “Balik Eskwela 2014”“ which is the school opening this June.

Policemen assigned to the different schools, colleges and universities in the region are tasked to decongest traffic in case of heavy influx of motorvehicles in school vicinities so that schoolers can get into the campuses smoothly without difficulties.

Sr. Supt. Ramon Ochotorena reported to Chief Supt. Edgar O. Basbas, the newly designated Police Regional Office-9  Director, that each police station in the region has a security traffic plan in coordination with the Department of Education and Commission on  Higher Education and school officials in the different areas.

PRO-9 also directed all Police Provincial Offices in Zamboanga Peninsula to utilize their Public Safety Company and coordinate with the Armed  Forces of the Philippuines.

Police station sections and specials units will also provide appropriate area security and traffic personnel to the different schools, colleges and universities in order to ensure peaceful and orderly conduct of the opening of classes.

Police stations are also ready with their Police Assistance Centers with tarpaulin that is visible in each community with phone numbers are written so that the public can contact the authority anytime. — Allen Abastillas
