“In unity there is strength. Let’s work together as a family and as a team because if we work together we can accomplish more.”

Thus said newly designated Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Edgar O. Basbas in his message during an honor arrival for him at Camp Abendan in Barangay Mercedes.yesterday afternoon

In the same message, Basbas sought the cooperation and support of the police force in Region9.

“I’m here  to continue the plans and programs of the Police Regional Office-9 and the Philippine National Police as a whole. I’m here to do new innovations  but not changes because all programs are written in the Patrol Plan. Just read the Patrol Plan and do your work for the good of PNP and for yourself. Im here as your manager and as your father of a good family. I’m here to take good care of your welfare but if you do wrong that would affect the organization, I will punish you,” Basbas said, addressing the officers and personnel of the command.

He said there is need to help each other among the police officers and personnel so that the vision and mission of PRO-9 and the whole PNP will succeed.

“Help me and I will help you. Let’s reciprocate each other. Let’s help each other for the good of PRO 9 and the PNP,” Basbas said.

After the honor arrival given to him, Basbas issued specific instructions to the PRO-9 officers and staff. It was followed by a command conference attended by officers of Police Provincial Offices, his staff officers,  Chiefs of different National  Supports Units and  some personnel.

Basbas also called on the communities in Region 9 to help the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines in their mission to combat lawlessness and criminalites. — Allen Abastillas
