A new batch of police recruits graduated last Monday at the Philippine National Police-Special Counter-Insurgency Operations Unit Training (SCOUT) in Camp Abendan, Barangay Mercedes.

Police Regional Office-9 Deputy Regional Director for Administration Sr. Supt. Ramon M. Ochotorena said that the new graduates are graduates of a six-month Public Safety Basic Course (PSBRC) at the Philippine Public Safety Training Center in Pasonanca.

According to Ochotorena, the new batch of graduates of SCOUT will be assigned to the different companies of the 9th Regional Public Safety Battalion for two years.

After the two-year assignment, they can apply for re-assignment to the different police stations  in the region or depending the availability of the position. —  Allen Abastillas
