Police intensify ‘war’ against drugs: 4 nabbed, 2 escape PDF Print E-mail

Three men and a woman were arrested while the targetted drug pusher eluded arrest during an anti-drug operation at Toribio Drive, Pasonanca last Friday night.

Arrested were  Enrique A. Gatal, Lloyd M. Volunmtate, Arnold C. Maatubang and Ginalyn T Delos Santos, all residents of Toribio Drive, Pasonanca.

Benito Delgado alias Toto, married, of Fernandez Drive Pasonanca, the main target of the drugbuy-bust, was able to escape while he was about to be arrested by police operatives.

The four were collared after they were caught engaging in a shabu smoking session inside Delgado’s house. The latter ran and escaped.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were four pairs of stainless scissors, one strip of aluminum foil with residue, five disposable lighters, one rolled tissue paper, one rolled aluminum foil, a .38 cal.revolver loaded with 6 rounds of ammunition with Serial No. PRO 1021528 and P300 marked money.

Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher escaped during a buy-bust operation at Sitio Cambodia, Sangali last Friday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as Julius Balagtas alias Tata.

Initial investigation showed that a police poseur buyer bought a sachet of shabu from Balagtas in exchange of P500.

However when Balagtas was about to be arrested, he rode a motorcycle and sped away.

The motorcycle was recovered at a secluded area while Balagtas was nowhere to be found. – Dan Toribio Jr.
