Beng unveils P12.9-M school bldg. in Boalan PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco yesterday morning led education, barangay and some other city officials in the inauguration of the newly constructed two-storey building with 12 classroom worth P12.9 million at Boalan Elementary School.

In her message, Climaco emphasized that education is one of her administration’s priority thrusts along security and health.

She said the school building, which was implemented during the administration of former mayor now District 2 Rep. Celso Lobregat, will give students a conducive environment for learning.

In accepting the project, the lady chief executive made it sure from City Engineer Luis Despalo that the building had passed the standard structural safety, subject to auditing rules and regulations.

The new building will be used by Grades 4 and 5 pupils.

Meanwhile, the parents, barangay officials and teachers headed by the school principal Dr. Edgardo A. Falcatan have expressed their profound thanks and gratitude to the city government through Mayor Beng for the school project.

The Boalan Elementary School has 1,741 pupils with 49 teachers and 34 classrooms that include the 12 new rooms.

Present during the inauguration were Councilors VP Elago, BG Guingona, Elong Natividad and Eddie Saavedra together with Assistant School Superintendent Julieto Fernandez.

After the program, Climaco met with the barangay officials and consulted them on pressing matters and concerns in their community.— Vic Larato
