Fishing firm worker drowns PDF Print E-mail

An employee of a fishing company drowned while cleaning the company’s wharf in Cawit last Monday morning.
The fatality was identified as Roger Cañete y Belarmino, 32, single, of Ayala.

A police report disclosed that Cañete and his co-employee were cleaning the wharf around 9 a.m. when fell from a wood board that was connected to a fishing boat.

Police said that Cañete sank into the water and his co-workers tried to rescue him.
Cañete was rushed to the Brent Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
