The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) announced that the water rationing scheme will remain in place despite the onset of the rainy season.

ZCWD information officer Montee Domingo said Thursday this as the water level at the water district’s diversion dam “is not yet stable.”

The rationing had been in effect since March this year when the water at the diversion dam at the Tumaga River fell below the normal level of 74.20 meters brought about by long dry spell.

Domingo said they will lift the water rationing once the water level will stabilize and above normal.

“The office is waiting for the water level to normalize rather than erratic. Most of the time the water level decreases,” he said. — RGAAG
