WMSU students undergo safety, security training PDF Print E-mail

A total of 98 students from the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) are attending a three-day Personal Safety and Security Training in this city.

The training, which is being held at the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom), kicked-off Thursday and is set to end today.

Westmincom information officer Capt. Maria Rowena Muyuela said the training is spearheaded by the College of Social Work (CSW) of WMSU in partnership with the Westmincom.

Muyuela said the participants of the training are the all CSW students of WMSU.

Westmincom chief Lt. Gen. Rustico Guerrero and WMSU president Dr. Milabel Ho led the opening of the three-day training.

Guerrero told the training participants that the military as well as the police are doing its best to ensure the security and protection of the populace.

Guerrero commended the students for taking up social work citing the country needs more individuals like them to help the government implement its plans and programs. — TPG
