District 1 Congressman Celso Lobregat has expressed elation that the two-storey Procurement Service Sub-Depot building which caters to the needs of all government offices for office supplies and equipment has been finally completed and opened.

Initiated and funded during Lobregat’s term as mayor, the PS Sub-depot was inaugurated and turned over last Thursday morning with Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco, Lobregat and Procurement Service Director Atty. Estanislao Granados Jr. gracing the occasion.

The imposing edifice is located inside a government compound where the FDCP and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office buildings in Zone IV, fronting the Land Transportation Office (LTO) building.

Lobregat said with the completion of the project, government offices and other agencies patronizing the PS Sub-Depot will have a more convenient and more accessible area where to transact business.

The new building is the permanent site for the PS Sub-depot which previously occupied a space at the City Coliseum in Tetuan, according to Lobregat.

After the inauguration rites, the PS Sub-Depot acknowledged the top 5 customers for National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Government Units (LGUs) and Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) for the year 2013. Each awardee was rewarded with a Samsung Pro Xpress Laser printer.

The awardees from NGAs are as follows: Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Western Mindanao State University (WMSU); from the LGUs: City Government of Zamboanga, Provincial Government of Sibugay, Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Norte, City Government of Isabela and Municipal of Tungawan Zamboanga Sibugay and from GOCCs: Zamboanga City Water District, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-ibig Fund), Landbank of the Philippines and Philippine Ports Authority.

Atty. Ganados assured quality and durability of PS sub-depot products citing that the ballpens that the depot offers are the same quality and brand used by the members of congress and senate as well as President Aquino. “We guarantee that the products are worth the price.”
