Supt. Ranie P. Hachuela on Wednesday assumed  as the new Chief of Police of Dipolog City.

Hachuela belongs to thePhilippine National Police Academy  Batch 1997.  He was awarded with a Congressional Medal of Valor for his role in repulsing the Abu Sayyaf in the Siocon attack on May 2003.

Hachuela was formerly assigned with the Police Regional Office-12 as the regional chief of Regional Special  Training Unit-12 based in Gen. Santos City.

Former chief of police of Dipolog City Supt. Joven R. Parcon will assume as the deputy provincial director  of the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office.

Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, who was the guest of honor during the simple assumption rite, lauded the policemen of the city for preserving and fighting lawlessnenss ansd criminalities making the city progressive and peaceful.

“I congratulate Sr. Supt. James Mejia and Supt. Joven Parcon and the their men for their bravery. Many investors are investing in the city because it is peaceful. We have beautiful beaches, rivers , mountains and the Eco-cogen Forest Park. We have bounty harvest of fish. We have all the resources. We want and project that Dipolog City will be “SWIGAPORE 2030.”

“SWIGAPORE” is a combination of Switzerland and Singapore, two countries that are peaceful and progressive,” Uy said.

She urged Dipolog folks to do their share and help law enforcers combat and fight criminalities so that security and prosperity will reign in the city and the whole province. — Allen Abastillas
