A businesswoman was shot dead by hoduppers in at the Lamitan public market Thursday night.

Killed was Maria Dolores Ramos y Orbuda, a stall owner at the Lamitan market.

Police said Ramos was about to close her store around 6 p.m. when gunmen appeared and ordered her to hand over her day’s earnings. However Ramos refused to do so prompting the holduppers to shoot her.
