Vendor loses P800 to holduppers PDF Print E-mail

A “tempura” vendor lost P800 to two holduppers along RT Lim Boulevard yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Loriegie Calumpanes, 18, single, of Talon-Talon.

Calumpanes told the police that he was driving his bicycle with sidecar and was about to go home after selling tempura, when two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and the backrider announced a holdup at gunpoint. He noticed that one of the two men was armed with a .45 caliber pistol.

The holduppers grabbed from Calumpanes his P800 tempura sale then sped away.
Calumpanes told the police that the holduppers were riding tandem on a red XRM motorcycle bearing no plate number.

He told the police that the P800 was the the proceeds from selling tempura for the whole Monday night. — Dan Toribio Jr.
