Eleven people were injured when a Toyota pick-up truck and a motorcycle collided at Sitio Mala, Bolong last Thursday afternoon.

A Honda Wave motorcycle driven by Joselino Bucoy Francisco 45, married, of Quiniput with 19-year-old Jaylyn Tarroza Francisco,19, as his backrider accidentally collided with a Toyota pick-up truck driven by Jun Sali Sabbani of Lubigan.

Sabbani fled after the accident.

Police said the Toyota pickup truck with nine passengers was heading for Lubigan coming from Sangali and upon reaching Sitio Mala in Bolong, Sabbani lost control of the steering wheel causing the vehicle to collide with the incoming motorcycle.

The two vehicles were thrown separately in several distance due to the impact of the collision.

The two Franciscos and seven of the nine passengers of the pick-up truck identified as Gemma Anastacio, 16, Dayang Dani, 19, Lily Dani, 15, Mina Dani, 13, Nurbenhar Alih, 20, Hadzhar Tanjilil, 14 and Salip Ambas Salapuddin, owner of the vehicle, were injured and were taken to the hospital.

Police said the driver of the pick-up truck was nowhere to be found during investigation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
