At their very young age, pupils of Guiwan Day Care Center under the office of the Social Welfare and Development Field Office IV are reminded and taught on the importance of eating vegetables daily.

Social worker Mrs. Grace Gregorio emphasized this health reminder in a simple speech she gaveduring the culmination program of the Nutrition Month celebration held at the Guiwan covered court last Tuesday.

Gregorio patiently explained to the young pupils that every individual need to eat vegetables to develop good health.

She said it is not necessary to have a lot of money to in order to have a healthy lifestyle as there are many nutritious vegetables that can be planted in backyards.

Meanwhile, Gregorio also inducted the new set of officers of the Parents Day Care Association as one of the highlights of the program.

Selected mothers and guardians of Guiwan Day Care pupils as well as pupils performed dance numbers during the occasion.

Guiwan Barangay Chairman Sammy Natividad gave a very inspirational message to  the young pupils and parents stressing the importance of having good health by eating nutritious vegetables, fruits and other health food.

Also present during the program were Guiwan councilwomen Natividad Antonio and Jihan Edding . Both expressed support to the Guiwan Day Care Center.

Parents of the day care pupils also thanked teachers Beth and Jean Garcia for exerting efforts to teach the pre-schoolers. – Dan Toribio Jr.
