LTO Zambo revenue collection up as more folks buy vehicles PDF Print E-mail

The revenue collection of Land Transportation Office Zamboanga City District Office for the January-September 2010 period is higher compared to the same period in 2009.

LTO Zamboanga City collected P69,086,402.16 compared to only P66,914,350.11 in 2009 or variance or increase of  P 2,172,052.05 equivalent to three percent.    The estimated  target collection for the January-September period this year was P65,671,650.

Zamboanga District Officer Head Noel M. Noche disclosed that acquisition of private motorvehicles from January to September 2010 has increased with a total of 52,280 compared to only 49,684 last year (January-September) or a variance or increase of 2,596 equivalent to five percent.

Among the vehicles, motorcycles are the most number acquired totalling 35,056. Second is utility vehicles with a total of 10,480. Third is transport vehicles with 2,484. Fourth is light vehicles with a total of 2,715 and Fifth -- sport utility vehicles with a total of 1,240.

Acquisition of government  motorvehicles from January to September 2010 registers at  1,340, compared to 1,261 in 2009, or an increase of 79.

Acquisition of for-hire motorvehicles from January to September 2010 totalled 7,143, with tricycles registering at 4,335. Second are public utility vehicles with a total of 2,382.
