Seven more suspected pushers were arrested on Thursday and Friday as police intensify the campaign against illegal drugs

Nabbed were Reynel Akil y Endrina, 51, married, of Baliwasan, Jerome Martinez y Torres, 34, married, of Putik, Rafsan Ibno y Ablayan alias Raf, 26, married, of Sampaloc Drive, Campo Islam, Andrew Galera, 33, of Martha Drive, Sta. Catalina, Azenith Seno, 35, of Recodo, Rachel Pajarito, 17, and  Sitti Saina Karambang, 27, of Purok 8, Recodo.

Akil and Martinez were nabbed by men of the Tetuan Police Station at Morning Breeze, Tugbungan at dawn last Saturday.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were three medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as shabu, three empty plastic sachets, P500 marked money, a disposable lighter, a pair of scissors, one brown wallet containing IDs, two used foil strips, Cherry mobile wrist band cellular phone, one Qnet cellular phone and a pocket size wallet containing voter’s ID.

Ibno was nabbed at Canelar Barter, Camino Nuevo. Seized from his possession were three plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, assorted drugs paraphernalia and marked money.

Galera, Seno, Pajarito, and  Sitti Saina were nabbed by policemen led by Sr.Insp, Elmer Solon under the supervision of Supt. Alan Nazarro in buy-bust operation at Gen. Vicente Alvarez St.at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Recovered from their possession were suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and four 100-peso bills used by the police as marked money in the buy-bust operation.

All suspects were detained at the city police office while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
