BoC Zambo surpasses July collection target PDF Print E-mail

The Bureau of Customs Zamboanga  District Office has surpassed its collection target for the month of July.

Customs District Collector Atty. Enrico T. Turingan Jr. said the actual collection for the month of July is P5,921,355 as compared to the target collection which is P 4,977,200 or a difference of P 944,155.

According to Turingan,  this year’s  revenue collection target is P 57,851,000. Actual revenue collection from January to July is P 34,474,134.

BoC Zamboanga  District Office is composed of the sub-port of Jolo Sulu, sub-port of Bongao Tawi-Tawi, sub-port of Basilan and Zamboanga City International Airport.

For the month of July,  the sub-port of Jolo reached 100  percent revenue collection. Biggest contributor for the month of July is Mega Sardines, while last June it was Pryce Gas.

Meanwhile, Turingan turne over  recently 104 bails of surplus clothing (ukay-ukay)  to the Department of Social Welfare and Development 9. The turnover of the goods was directed by BoC Commissioner John Sevilla and Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima.

The goods were received by DSWD Regional Director Zenaida Arevalo in the presence  of  Ramil B.  Lim, Actrint warehouse man, Joan Natividad  of the Customs Police, Commission on Audit  Team Leader State Auditor 3   Remedios Delos Reyes, Darwisa Schuck,  Bids and Awards Committee Chairperson and Mr. Abanto. —  Allen Abastillas
