Police Station 3 advisory council in Sangali formed PDF Print E-mail

Sr. Insp. Insp. Joel Tuttuh, chief of Police Station 3, convened on Wednesday the members of his newly formed advisory council  in Sangali.

The council members, who are known for their integrity, probity and leadership, come from different sectors to include government agencies, business, academe and community.

The body is intended to improve the peace and order agenda for the transformation and upholding the rule of law.

“The council will act as the voice and channel for networks to help Sangali Police Station find solutions to pressing issues including the generation of additional resources and enhancing public-private partnership (PPP) under my Area of Responsibility (AOR),” Tuttuh said.

Cabaluay Barangay Chairman Rafael Basilio E.Apolinario VII was elected chairman of PS3 SAC.

Among the sectoral personalities appointed as members were:Rev. Fr. Jonathan Duca and Ustadz Munib Yahsin (Religious Sector), Ma. Erlinda Valesco Arcillas, secondary school teacher, Manicahan National High School, Engr. Allan Leroy Dionio, operations Superintendent of Western Mindanao Power Corporation, Edwin Ledesma from the business sector, Ma. Cristine Jean Carzada from Far East Broadcasting Company representing the media.

Tuttuh stressed that the advisory council serves not just as an advisory body but also partner towards the attainment of its mission and vision.It also serves as a valuable and useful tool in planning at all levels.

As a management tool, it provides transparent reporting of measures, targets and initiatives and milestones which are all made available to all its personnel and external stakeholders. It lays down the strategies to keep the PNP responsive at all times to the needs and issues concerning the 11 barangays under the AOR of Sangali Police Station.

The 11 barangays includes Dulian, Bolong, Sangali, Manicahan, Cabaluay, Tolosa, Bunguiao, Lamisahan, Victoria, Lapakan and Cacao with a total population of 60 466.

The PS3 SAC also plays a vital role in the implementation of the Philippine National Police Integrated Transformation Program-Performance Governance System (PNP-ITP-PGS).

The institutionalization of Performance Governance System in the PNP gives much emphasis on private-public sector partnership (PPP). It considers ordinary citizens initiatives and their own governance programs that can contribute towards the pursuit of national strategic priorities. It aligns private and public portfolio of initiatives and action programs with the long term strategic needs of our country.

The council is expected to take their oath next week after each one has been oriented of what their task and role in the AC.
