The Zamboanga City Police Office’s Police Station 11 Community Relations successfully conducted its information drive and dialogue in 11 barangays in the city proper.

Chief Insp. Joey A.  Montenegro of the PS11 PCR, said they lectured barangays officials, members of barangay intelligence network ( BIN ) and Barangay Peace Action Team ( BPAT ) on how to handle a first responder in crime situations.

The lectures also included the proper way of making civil arrest, on assisting traffic and decongestion, on how to use firearms and handcuffs against suspects, on how to  detect a suspected lawless person in their area and all kinds of crime prevention topics.

The information drived was conducted last July in the barangays of Zone 1, 2  and  3, Canelar, Baliwasan, Sta. Catalina, Camino Nuevo, Campo Islam, San Jose Gusu, San Jose Cawa-Cawa and  Sto. Nino.

Montenegro thanked the Criminology students of Western Mindanao State University  who joined the information drive and dialogue with the barangay officials.

According to Montenegro,  they will continue to conduct visitations in the different barangays to give leaflets to the residents about anti-criminality campaign. —  Allen Abastillas
