PRO-9 marks PNP’s 113th poice service anniversary PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Edgar O. Basbas led policemen  yesterday in celebrating the Philippine National Police’s 113th Police Service Anniversary.

The theme of the celebration was “Pulisya – Kaagapay ang Mamamayan Para sa Patuloy na Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran”. It was held at Camp Abendan in Mercedes with former PRO-9 Director Prospero C. Noble  Jr. (Ret.) of the Philippine Military Academy Batch 1974 Class Marangal as guest of honor.

Noble told the policemen that law enforcers should do justice in their foremind. “They should be trustworthy and enthusiastic, fair and openminded in law enfrocerment,” he said.

Noble reminded policemen to demonstrate their commitment to the people fairly without bias or prejudice.

“ Be service oriented and service minded, be understanding and just. Be positive by example and listen to the people no matter how low status they have in life because everyone has a story to tell,” he said in his message

“As the saying goes, ‘No man is an island,’” Noble said.

He added that policemen should do their job in positive manner as a role model. “Protect the weak and be a peacemaker.”

In his final words. Noble motivated  policemen to do and make a business so that they have earning while still in the services and enjoy the retirement and continue working.
