Claret School made a strong move into retaining its crown in the Passerelle Division in Category A as it ran roughshod over Saint Joseph School 80-28 at the resumption of hostilities in the Best Center Twin Tourney last Saturday at the Mayor VitalianoAgan Memorial Coliseum.

The Red Roosters of Coach RoyLim was just too much for the Saint Joseph five as Claret served notice it was primed this year to retain its crown .

Ferndale International School kept in step with the  Claretians with a similar lopsided victory this one over Zamboanga City Chong Hua School 78-40.

In Passerelle Category B action Southern City Colleges downed Zion School  98-42 while Pilar College edged WSMSU Crimsons 52-47.

In earlier SBP Action Ferndale sideswiped Pilar College 70-28 in SBP A while Claret School downed Chong Hua in SBP B 50-26.

The day after Sunday, still in the Mayor Agan Memorial Gym, FBZ Inter school matches were played as Don Pablo Memorial High School edged Claret School B 48-45 in Boys B, Saint Joseph School scuttled Zamboanga Cong Hua School 64-50 and Pilar College narrowly defeated Southern City Colleges Team B 55-53 in Boys A play.

IN Men’s Action Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology continued on its winning ways as it shot down Pilar College 69-68, even as SCC A scuttled SCC C 102-66 with Ateneo earning the day’s final win with a 67-50 triumph over SCC B.

Both tournaments are being conducted under the auspices of the FBZ and the SBP under Area Head and Trustee Pedro Alfaro Jr.
