Body of Pinoy fisher found on Sabah shore PDF Print E-mail

The body of a Filipino was transported from Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia to Zamboanga City last August 20, 2014 at 9:30 p.m.

Aldrin Vallejo Villaran, 21, a native of Quezon, Palawan had worked in Tawau as a fisherman.

According to his brother Rogen Villaran, his body was found on the shore of a resort in Sabah on July 31, 2014. Secondary drowning was the cause of his death. Aldrin was an undocumented worker.

In an effort to extend much help to Filipino nationals working abroad being documented or undocumented, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration together with personnel from Department of Foreign Affairs-9 (DFA-9) assisted to transport the human remains from Zamboanga port to Villa Funeral Homes.

According to DFA-9, the body was sent to Manila on August 21, 2014, 9:55 p.m.  and will be brought to Quezon, Palawan.
