Men of the Highway Patrol Group-9  have seized at the Zamboanga City Wharf another motorcycle with tampered chassis and engine numbers.

The motorcycle was described as a black gray Honda with plate number KX 7705 model 2012,

HPG-9 Motorvehicle Clearance Officer SPO1 Wilfredo P. Ator disclosed that on August 14,2014 around 6:00 p.m. while conducting routinary inspection at the port, HPG-9 operatives spotted a motorcycle which was ready to be shipped to Jolo  Sulu. When inspected, It was  found out that number of the chassis does not conform with the standard of the Honda Motor Company. The operatives immediately sensed the chassis number was tampered.

The motorcycle described in its Motorvehicle file number 0908-00003351063 as having chassis number KGE1158900 and engine number is KGE 10E150099 with Mar Salapudin of Sta. Catalina as registered owner.

Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG-9 chief, directed Ator to seize and impound the motorcycle and coordinate with the Police Regional office 9 Crime Laboratory for a macrio-etching  examination.

The HPG-9 came to a conclusion that the said motorcycle’s chassis and engine numbers which appear only as 494 and 68 respectively are tampered.

Agustin further directed Ator to conduct further investigation to determine who is the real owner of said motorcycle. - Allen Abastillas
