Woman’s van ransacked in new robbery within church vicinity PDF Print E-mail

Robbers targetting vehicles parked outside churches and hospitals struck anew on Monday at the vicinity of St. Joseph Church along Nuñez St., stealing jewelry items and other valuables.

A police report disclosed that Floramay Lorenzo y Sojor, 27, of Rainbow Subdivision, Zambowood parked her Toyota Adventure at the perimeter of St. Joseph Church around 1:50 p.m. to attend a wedding. Later another guest informed her that the left windshield of her vehicle was broken.

During ocular investigation, police found out that the robbers took a set of earrings with gold and diamond, worth P70,000, an I-pod worth P15,000, a pocket wifi worth P1,500, Nokia cell phone worth P3,500.

Police said the vehicle was registered in the name of Sally Lorenzo y Sojor, 63, of Zambowood.

Investigators lifted some fingerprints from the vehicle to help in the investigation of the case.

On August 9, robbers ransacked a Mitsubishi Adventure parked inside the Metropolitan Cathedral  of the Immaculate Concepcion compound along La Purisima St. ang got away with cash and valuables,

The robbers opened the door of the Adventure and took the handbag of Fe Saavedra Lee.

Police said the hand bag was discovered missing during an ocular investigation.

It was learned that the bag contained P20,000 in cash, agold bracelet, driver’s license, two cell phones, Samsung pad, red wallet, credit cards, coin purse and several other valuables.

On June 3, robbers struck at the parking lot of Ciudad Medical Zamboanga, victimizing a hospital nurse.

Ma. Anita  Bancairin, a nurse of the hospital, parked her Isuzu Sportivo as she was reporting for duty. But when she returned around 3 p.m., she was shocked to see the windshield of the vehicle destroyed.

During ocular investigation. police discovered that the victim’s bag containing P72,000, credit cards (Security Bank, PS Bank Card BPI), military dependent ID, PRC License (Nurse), bank book PNSLAI, $200, was missing.

Police said the robbers broke the window of the vehicle and removed the small portion of the window wind shield glass at the left passenger’s door where they slid an arm to pick the bag.

Based on police records, several motorcycles were stolen at the said parking lot. – Dan Toribio Jr.
