Councilor Roel “Elong” Natividad, chairman of the  City Council’s Committee on Youth and Sports, was the guest of honor during the opening program of the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC) “Palaro 2014,” held at ZCSPC main campus the other day.

Natividad inspired the delegations from the different departments and challenged the athletes to practice sportsmanship.

“Be a gracious winner and a gracious loser to ensure the success of this competition,” Natividad said before a crowd of participants.

ZCSPC President Dr. Nora Ponce challenged the participants to actively participate in the sports competition.

“Don’t forget to have fun and make the most opportunity to get to know each other,” Ponce said.

Ponce led the presentation of plaque of appreciation and thanked Natividad for the financial support  donation through the Countrywide Development Fund for the acquisition of sports facilities and other developmental structures in the said school.
