Men of the Highway Patrol Group-9’s provincial teams underwentfirearms proficiency shooting test and actual  firing on Tuesday at the PNP’sCamp Abendan Firing Range.

The shooting test and actual firing was categorized into different levels like grouping firing against the target or enemies, individual firing and backup with fellow operatives. Each team and individual operative were given a scoring sheet to determine if they pass the shooting test and actual firing.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin said the shooting test and actual firing are regular activities of the HPG so that its operatives are upgraded always on gunhandling and for them to master their skills on shooting as their  protection and weapon against enemies of the state while in the performance of their duties and mission.

“Their guns and their uniforms are just like their wife,” Agustin said. —  Allen Abastillas
