A policeman was injured after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle while he was chasing a tricycle that had figured in a vehicular accident at the junction of Aurora Village road and Lobregat Highway in Guiwan last Wednesday night.

Injured was PO3 Edwin Javelosa of the Divisoria Police Station and detailed in Guiwan.

A police report disclosed that Javelosa was on duty at the  Dallas Gazelle around 5:45 p.m. at the Aurora Village road and Lobregat  Highway junction when he saw two drivers arguing over a road accident.

Javelosa approached the duo, but one of the them  identified as Paquito Padilla, a tricycle driver,  immediately sped away heading for Cabato Road. This prompted the policeman to  chase him using his red Honda XRM motorcycle.

Javelosa warned and tried to stop Padilla,  but the latter ignored and continued driving his tricycle.

While he was chasing the triker, Javelosa’s motorcycle collided with a Honda Wave 100 with license plate OE 9743 driven by Margarito Dogoy Duot, 31, married, of Lumiyap, Divisoria.

Javelosa and Duot sustained injuries in their body while their motorcycles were damages due to the accident.

Padilla was apprehended by policemen led by PO2 Jeffrey Akim of the Tetuan Police Station near a mosque along the Tumaga.

Police said Padilla was drunks during the incident. He was detained pending the filing of charges against him. —  Dan Toribio Jr.
