City-wide clean-up to build back better Zambo set Sept. 5 PDF Print E-mail

A massive clean-up drive will be launched simultaneously on Friday, Sept. 5 in all barangays as part of the city’s build back better Zamboanga effort.

People representing all sectors are expected to participate in the citywide clean-up activity that will be spearheaded personally by Mayor Beng Climaco starting at 3pm tomorrow.

Different schools, colleges and universities, city departments, national agencies and civil society organizations, military and police including the barangay sector have respective area assignments.

Cleanliness springs a healthy environment that is free from diseases and consequently helps ensure a better Zamboanga City.

Mayor Climaco said cleanliness and sanitation should be everybody’s everyday campaign to pave way for good health and healthy communities.

Every resident of the city should do his or her part in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the workplace, the community and in the city.

Maintaining the upkeep of our city will boost the city’s campaign to build back a better Zamboanga, the mayor added.
