11 nabbed in Recodo shabu raid charged PDF Print E-mail

Police have forwarded cases against 11 persons who were arrested during a drug bust in a suspected drug den in Recodo the other day.

A police report disclosed that after the filing of cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Drug Act and Presidential Decree 1602, all the accused availed of the 15-day waiver in which they are to be detained again.

Those arrested were identified as Abdulhassan Darda y Salih, Saida Saliy y Asim, Amira Tantong y Darda, Radzmia Gaddung y Salih, Boyoyoy Akiram y Handang and Robert Rojas y Bernardo. They were charged for violation of RA 9165 under IS no. IX-06-INQ-141-00514 while a separate case for the same offense was also filed against Florante Gamores y Francisco and Renie Merafuentes y Catalon under IS no. IX-06-INQ-00514.

Other arrested persons identified as Hamid Arali y Lawan, Haji Ibrahim Tambang y Hamja and Nur-Aina Laping y Lawan were charged for violation of PD 1602 after the raiding team recovered from their possession slot machines. They posted bail and were temporary released.

It will be recalled that on September 1, men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company led by Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca raided a suspected drug den in Recodo and arrested 11 persons. Seized during the raid were shabu, drug paraphernalia and a total of seven slot machines. —  Dan Toribio Jr.
