Charges have been filed against thrree persons in connection with the police’s anti illegal gambling operation conducted on August 6, by men of the Police Anti-Vice Section in Barangay Tumaga, Porcentro.

Arrested were Mohammad De Guzman y Shanantoyan and Monaliza Punzalan y Minosa and Jambu Santos. Police confiscated from them a gambling slot machine.

De Guzman, Punzalan and Santos were charged for violation of  Presidential Decree 1602 otherwise known as Illegal Numbers Game law.

In another case, Idris Daris y Mampu was arrested by operatives of the Ayala Police Station on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Carlo Martin R. Alcala for the crime of Resistance and Disobedience to an Agent of a Person in Authority with Criminal Case No. 51496 — with recommended bail bond of P1, 000.

Daris was released from the custody of Ayala Police Station after posting the bail for his temporary liberty.

Meanwhile, a  teenager wanted for frustrated murder was arrested by operatives of the Labason Police Station during a manhunt operation in Barangay Balas, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte on September 3, 2014.

Virgilio Eva, 19, single, was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Oscar D Tomatong of RTC 9th, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte on August 26, for the crime of frustrated murder docketed under Criminal Case No. l-002334 with recommended bail bond of ?200,000 for his temporary liberty.

Eva wastemporarily detained at the Labason Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
