House in Siocon sprayed with bullets: 3 wounded PDF Print E-mail

A woman, her fiance and his friend were wounded when gunmen sprayed a house with bulletsat the hinterland area of Barangay Cabral, Siocon Zamboanga del Norte last week.

Wounded were Jelma Sali, 26, Jije Sain Lumonah alias Poloy,33, and Ricardo Gaspar.

The attack that took place on August 30 was discovered only last Monday when Siocon policewoman PO2 Joy Lapiz Andrino who was manning the Quality Service Lane received a cellular phone call informing that a wounded woman was found at the hinterland area of Barangay Cabral.

Men of the Siocon Police Station proceeded to the barangay to verify the report and found Jelma Sali, a resident of Sitio Biasongan, Brgy Sta Maria, wounded in the left leg.

Police investigators gathered that on August 27, 2014, Sali together with her boyfriend Jije Lumonah, a resident of Barangay Siay, Siocon, were brought by Gaspar to his house in Barangay Cabral. Around 6 a.m. om August 30, a group of unidentified armed men sprayed the house with gunfire resulting in the wounding of Jelma Sali, Jije Lumonah and  Ricardo Gaspar sustained multiple gunshot on the different parts of his body.  The three victims scampered and managed to escape in separate directions. Sali found her way in the hinterland area of Barangay Cabral. Lumonah and Gaspar, both wounded, were believed to be still hiding from the attackers.

Sali was brought to the Siocon District Hospital for medication and  before lunch time, she was discharged and taken by her immediate relatives led by Chairman Moarep E. Salvador  of  Barangay Sta. Maria,

The Siocon Police Station were still coordinating with “friendly forces” and force multipliers to locate Lumonah and Gaspar. The motive of the attack is still unknown.
