PAF hold ‘Ugnayan Sa Barangay’ PDF Print E-mail

The 530th Air Base Wing under the 3rd Air Division of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has recently conducted “Ugnayan Sa Barangay,” at the Edwin Andrews Air Base  (EAAB), Sta.Maria, this city.

530th Air Base Wing Commander BGEN. Anselmo Junsay said the occasion is in line with the Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP) with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP’s) Bayanihan Campaign Plan which aim to tap local government units (LGUs) as partner in nation building.

Among the topics discussed during the dialogue were the security situation and the need to conduct disaster preparedness training seminar for the neighboring barangays within the vicinity of EAAB.

3rd Air Division Commander Maj Gen. Emeraldo Magnaye, as main speaker, during the dialogue, said the Armed Forces of the Philippines is ready to respond to any emergencies that the city may encounter.

“We’re ready for any man-made or natural calamities,” Magnaye said before a crowd of barangay officials and other stakeholders.

3rd Air Division Deputy Commander Brig. Gen. Andre Tanyag also shared insights on how to address security problems like combatting criminalities and lawless elements.

A total of 10 barangay chairmen and officials from Tumaga, Pasonanca, Cabatangan, San Jose Gusu, San Roque, tetuan, Talon-Talon, Sta. maria and Baliwasan and other stakeholders joined the dialogue with key officers from EAAB as host. — Monch L. Follosco
