Robbers broke into a pawnshop and ran away with batteries along Lobregat Highway in Guiwan.

A police report said the robbers entered New Pag-asa Pawnshop at past 3 p.m. and carted away two units of twelve plates batteries worth more or less P3,000 which they took from the storage area located at the back of the pawnshop.

The pawnshop’s designated officer in charge Jeralyn L Amaquin, 25, single, and together with another employee, Hernando A. Carpio, 30, appeared at the Divisoria Police Station and reported that they discovered the robbery when the latter was about to switch on the generator set.

Investigation disclosed that the robbers destroyed the dead bolt lock of the steel door using an iron bar at the storage located at the small pathway and took away the generator. They attempted to carry the generator it was heavy.
