OWWA, DOST hold EDSP examination PDF Print E-mail

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-9 (OWWA-9), in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology-9 (DOST-9),  conducted a qualifying examination on the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) at Grand Astoria Hotel last September 21, 2014.

In this region, OWAA Regional Director Hassan Gabra T. Jumdain announces that there were 79 OFW dependents who took the examination. All qualified applicants shall be selected and ranked according to their performance in the qualifying examination. OWWA awards 100 EDSP scholarships annually.

EDSP is a scholarship grant offered for OFWs’ legal dependents who intend to enrol into a four-to-five year course in any CHED accredited College or University at a maximum amount of Php 60,000.00 per school year (Php 30,000.00 per sem). Tuition fees shall be directly paid to the school while the remaining amount will be released to the scholar upon the submission of grades for a semester.

The result of the examination will be announced on the first quarter of 2015.
