Registration for Home Materials Assistance (HOMA) program will end Tuesday, September 30.

Thus announced City Housing and Land Management Division (HLMD) Chief Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, as he called on all concerned internally displaced persons (IDPs) to comply with the requirements so they can avail of the program which forms part of the Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Reconstruction (Z3R) plan.

Concerned IDPs are advised to visit the HLMD office at Pettit Barracks 8am to 5pm and bring with them their tagging documents for easy facilitation.

The HOMA is a program of the National Housing Authority (NHA) whereby families are given P30, 000 worth of housing materials each for as long as they comply with the requirements.

While it is a program undertaken by the NHA, it is the City Government through the HLMD that is facilitating the requirements for grantees.

Based on NHA list, over 1,600 families are expected to avail of the HOMA. The distribution of the assistance has been ongoing for several months now. — Sheila Covarrubias
