HPG-9 seizes carnapped Toyota Corolla PDF Print E-mail

Highway Patrol Group-9 operatives have recovered a suspected carnapped motorvehicle at the Zamboanga city wharf.

During routinary operations at the wharf recently,  HPG-9 personnel spotted a motorvehicle that was unloaded from a commercial vessel which came from Manila.

Chief Insp. Alejandro  Espiritu II described the motorvehicle as a blask Toyota Corolla bearing plate number CSYA 3073. Chassis number are MR53RE10450075 and engine number is 12RX375945. The registered owner is a certain C. P. Samote of Ayala Avenue, Makati City.

Espiritu said when information about the car were checked with the Motorvehicle Information Management System (MVIMS),  HPG-9 men found out that it was under hold order with Alarm No. 20140630.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin ordered Espiritu to impound the car and coordinate with the Police Regional Office 9-Crime Laboratory for the conduct  of macro- etching process, conduct further investigation and send an accomplishment report to the HPG National Headquarters. — Allen Abastillas
