Man with shabu nabbed at checkpoint PDF Print E-mail

A motorcyclist was arrested at a police checkpoint in Vitali for possession of a sachet of suspected shabu last Monday afternoon.

Arrested was Benhar Abdul y Adjalal, 30, married, of Sitio Tamaraan, Mangusu.

Abdul was nabbed by men of the Vitali Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Joseph Lim around 5p.m.

Investigation disclosed that Abdul was stopped at the checkpoint and when inspected, policemen recovered a sachet of suspected shabu and aluminum foil in his possession. He was detained at the Police Station 1 in Vitali while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Meanwhile, men of the Police Station 3 in Sangali were still trying to determine the identity of a man whose body was recovered in Barangay Bunguiao the other day.

A police report disclosed that Nestor Atilano, Bunguiao barangay chairman, had called the police station to report the recovery of the body around 7.m.

Ocular investigation was conducted by the police led by Insp. Federico Lindo showed that the dead man was clad in blue shorts and brown tee-shirt.
