Fire broke out at the Blue Diamonds Disco Pub along Gov. Camins Avenue yesterday morning.

Initial report from the Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire started at the disc jockey’s booth on the  second floor and quickly spread and engulfed almost the entire interior of the nightclub. Five rooms inside were razed and other adjacent establishments were also affected.

Firefighters from the Central Fire Station, Filipino-Chinese Fire Volunteers and other fire stations responded and placed the blaze under control in an hour.

The nightclub management told fire investigators the place is locked after business hour at 2 a.m. and nobody stays inside the building.

Investigators were still working on the case.

The same nightclub suffered from another fire when it was still located in Sta. Maria near the Edwin Andrew Air Base about two years ago. – Dan Toribio Jr.
