PNP chief Purisima to grace today PRO-9 building’s ground breaking PDF Print E-mail

Philippine National Police Director General Alan  M. Purisima will grace today the ground breaking ceremony of a two storey multi-purpose building at Camp Batalla along RT Lim Boulevard.

The two-storey building will be constructed at the site of the infamous Cawa-Cawa siege which was the headquarters  of the defunct Police Regional Command -9 where Regional  Commander Brig. Gen. Eduardo B. Batalla and Col. Romeo Abendan were killed by renegade policemen led by Rizal Alih.

Sr. Supt. Jose Bayani L. Gucela said that Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Edgar O. Basbas has prepared an honor arrival forthe PNP Chief.

PRO-9 Logistics Officer Sr. Supt. Edwin S. Deocampo disclosed that the two-storey building worth P 5 million will be constructed and completed in 180 days. It will be used for conferences, meetings, schooling classes and  police activities lik social gathering.

While in the city, Purisima is expected to grace the  21st Western Mindanao Masonic Convention that will be held at a local hotel October 2-3.

Purisima holds high position in the Masonic Brotherhood.
