Celso leads turnover of P1.7M Campo Islam health center PDF Print E-mail

District 1 Representative Celso Lobregat and Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde spearheaded the turnover of the P1.7 million wellness center in Campo Islam Friday, Oct. 17.

The project was initiated by Lobregat when he was the city mayor. Its construction began April 2014.

Assisting the congressman and vice mayor during the turnover were City Health Officer Rodel Agbulos.

Lobregat said the project is a testimony of the government’s commitment to health services. He vowed to pursue more projects for specifically to help improve health services in the city in his capacity as representative of the first district.

The wellness center has an area of 81 square meters with a total budget allocation of P1.7 million. The facilities include a delivery room, emergency room, consultation room and family planning corner among others.

The center will have manned by a medical officer, sanitary inspector, barangay nutrition sector, midwife, 2 nurse apprentices from nurse development program and 8 barangay health workers.

Present during the ceremony were Luisito Lacastesantos of LL Construction, City Engineer Luis Despalo, Campo Islam Barangay Kagawad Hji. Al-Khammy Amping and Medical Officer Katrina Ladjahon.

The Campo Islam barangay hall, which is another project initiated during Lobregat’s term has been bid out and is set to begin construction December this year. It will be constructed beside the Campo Islam wellness center. — Melcah Yee
