City Police Director Sr. Supt. Angelito Casimiro has urged parents to be watchful on the activities of their children, especially the teenagers,  and be vigilant against dubious job recruitment for the Middle East.

In an interview, Casimiro said he has received an information that there are people in the city who are recruiting and hiring young people purportedly to work in the Middle East.

Casimiro said the Information gathered by his intelligence operatives tend to indicate that this recruitment of young people is for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)  in the Middle East.

Casimiro said that he is still validating all the information so as to determine whether there is indeed ISIS recruitment or it is just a rumor stuff.

He said the information is very sensitive and his office continues to dig deeper into it.

Casimiro advised parents and the youth to be responsible in entertaining people who are recruiting for jobs abroad.

Police said the strategy of a recruiter is to lure their victims with monetary offers or promises to convince them.

Casimiro advised parents to be careful in dealing with people.

“Huwag po kayong magpadala sa mga pera na binibigay nila at masarap na salita nila dahil sayang ang kinabukasan at buhay ng inyong mga anak,” Casimiro said. — Allen Abastillas
