The City Council in its regular session yesterday passed a resolution inviting the San Ramon Power Inc. (SRPI) to brief the body on its status and the situation on it power plant project.

The session was presided by  Councilor Roel “Elong“ Natividad.

Councilor Rudy Bayot said that he has received complaints from some people residing in San Ramon where the power plant will be constructed, saying the guards are very strict in allowing people to pass by in the area.

Bayot said he had earlier thought that the construction of the power plant was ongoing, but found out that the project has yet to be started.

“ Your honor, cuando yan start el proyekto para construction cuanto año ya ya pasa  mucho yan protest y tiene rally el maga hente na  area. Pero nohay man gale mga building alyi. Pensaba yo ya acaba ya el proyekto . Nohay man gale,” Bayot said in Chavacano.

The resolution calling for dialogue between the City Council and SRPI was approved  jointly and severally .

The Council set the dialogue on November 4, 2014.

On the other hand, The Council has approved a resolution for the review on the status of  city government land in some barangays being rented by private persons as flea market.

During the discussion,  information surfaced that private individuals rent the land for a minimal fee of P 5,000. monthly. — Allen Abastillas
