Climaco cites ZCPO, TFZ units for securing Fiesta Pilar events PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco has officially expressed the city government and its constituents’ sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the officers and personnel of the police and military for securing the city during the just concluded Fiesta Pilar celebration and other related activities.

Climaco’s words of thanks were contained in Certificates of Appreciation and Special Citations she personally handed over to Zamboanga City Police Office director Sr. Supt. Angelito Casimiro, TFZ commander Col. Andrelino Colina and all attached units during the flag raising ceremony Monday in front of City Hall.

The chief executive also awarded Certificates of Appreciation and Special Citations to 1Lt. Oliver V. Usog, Ssg. Melchor T. Baylosis, 1Lt. Eldie Cuyacot, Ltc. Joel M. Lazo, Capt. Malvin Ligutan, 1Lt. Julius Yasay, Ssg. Ferdinand V. Danao and Cpl. Abdusani Svandi.

Also commended were the following Air Force pilots, crew, who flew the helicopters for the flower drop on Oct. 12, including the ground controllers, namely; Maj. Jonathan Hallata, Capt. Alvin E. Andres, CAPT. Fernando P. Engsa Jr., 1Lt. Reuben Sancho B. Zateo, 1Lt. Bernardo C. Alibasa, 1Lt. Raffy L. Caboteja, 1Lt. Christopher In D. Dupalco, 1Lt. Arwin Jayran R. Flores, 1Lt. Friedrich K. Punzalan, 1Lt. May Joy Remo, TSg. Edwin T. Tragico, Sgt. John Angelo P. Marcos, A1C Arthur V. Cerezo and A2C Marlon D. Malabanan.

Likewise, the mayor thanked the officers and personnel of the Philippine Navy’s 11th Marine Battalion Landing Team; Battalion Headquarters, 6th SFB, SOCOM of the Philippine Army; K9 Group of the Army, 3rd Explosive and Ordnance Detachment.

The Regional Public Safety Battalion 9, 5th Special Action Battalion, Special Action Force, Regional Maritime Units, Firearms EXPLOSIVE and Security Agencies and Guard Section, Regional Health Service, Regional Training School 9, Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Association of Detective and Protective Agency Operators (PADPAO) also received citation certificates.

Mayor Climaco also commended all other agencies and academic institutions for their invaluable services that contributed to the success of this year’s Zamboanga Hermosa Festival, among them were the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ), and Philippine Red Cross, D’alert Radio Group, Bureau of Fire and Protection, and the K9 Disaster Response Group.— Vic Larato
