Continuing law enforcement operations, conducted by the military and police, have forced kidnappers to release their eight-year-old victim in Jolo Wharf, Sulu Wednesday afternoon.

Lt. Col. Harold Cabunoc, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) public affairs office chief, identified the released victim as Jewel Mariel Nique, a resident of Olutanga town, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Cabunoc said the victim was taken by four heavily-armed men in a store in her hometown last July 25.

She was freed by her captors at the Jolo Wharf at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
