BFP’s fire safety reminders on All Saints, All Souls Day PDF Print E-mail

The Bureau of Fire Protection’s Zamboanga City District Central Fire Station (BFP-ZCDCFS) per directive from the BFP National and Regional Headquarters will be disseminating a series of information campaign on fire safety measures and awareness to be observed during the celebration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2, this year.

BFP-ZCDCFS District Fire Marshal Supt. Dominador F. Zabala, Jr. said his station and the 14 fire sub-stations under his command have already been directed since Tuesday to dispatch several fire prevention and safety officers in the different public and private cemeteries and distribute fire safety fliers/tips and announced several fire safety precautions in the different communities of this city, particularly those residing in nearby cemeteries.

Zabala, also disclosed they also conducted intensified fire safety inspection in different transport stations and terminals both in land and sea, marine public transportation facilities, airport and piers, mortuary chapels, private and public cemeteries and in other places of convergence or assembly of people during the observance of All souls’ and All Saints’ Days.

He added that deployment of fire engine company personnel with their fire trucks and rescue ambulance will also be deployed to key areas at cemeteries and places of public assembly to render immediate assistance and services to the public.

“All 14 fire sub-stations under the ZCFD were placed on heightened alert status effective October 27 until November 2, this year, so that our personnel can immediately respond to any fire calls or emergencies,” Zabala said.
