Labuan cops intercept unregistered seacraft PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Labuan Police Station led by St. Insp. Chester Natividad intercepted a suspected unregistered temper-type seacraft Wednesday afternoon.

Natividad said that PO1 Daisy Mar Maningo was along the shore at past 5p.m. when a vessel owned by Usman Abduraha y Isnarin, 50, of Panganuran, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte tried to drop anchor thereat.

However when the boat master noticed the presence of the police, he changed the direction of the vessel.

Maningo immediately called for back-up personnel.

Natividad led his men in chasing the seacraft and later intercepted it.

During investigation, the boat’s crewmen could not present papers for the vessel’s operation.

Policemen found out the boat was carrying assorted commodities. It was turned over to the Philippine Coast Guard for proper disposition. — Dan Toribio
